Wow thanks for your reply Nutty - I was beginning to think I'd dreamt him up !! I DO remember the others you mention now you have jolted my grey matter especially Terry Thomas (probably because of the name) and the soaking on the mention of torrential rain !!

I'd have given up the chance to watch Tiswas if I was going to OZ you lucky devil you !! Hope you are having a great life down under.

Yeah, Oz is OK...I saw John Asher in person once, he opened a fete down at the local junior school. I also met Trevor East at the 'Big K' hardware superstore in Aldridge, and managed to kid him I didn't know who he was...but he finally twigged when I asked him; "You don't really support Derby County, do you?"

Sadly, only one episode of Tiswas from the early days is known to exist (the 30/8/75 edition)... I'll have to try and get hold of a copy from someone on the Tiswas website. Until then, I have only one thing to say:

'TORRENTIAL RAIN!!!"

They were there !! YES !! I saw John Asher for all of a second, and Trevor East too both were in the audience

Never heard the words Torrential Rain once though but there was plenty of water flowing rofl !!

It wasnt as good as "It Started With Swap Shop" Which is a bit strange cuz as a kid i hated swap shop and prefered Tiswas
