ITN News at 5.45/Welcome home ITV

The 2nd half of News at 5.45 "with Leonard Parkin" - October 24th 1979...took me back to being 5 again. This was the return of ITV after their 8 week strike....Corrie is featured on the news, then check out "Welcome home to ITV" feature on tonight's programmes.
I want to go back in time....

Leonard Parkin really reminds me of pre-school times when it was News at One was on with the green typist credits followed by Crown Court of course

Anyone else agree that ITV national news these days is a pile of pap? I can't stand it, however I do prefer ITV local news to bbc's.

I vaguely remember Crown Court I would of been 6yrs young.I was off school for a couple of months due to a road accident I had....

I vaguely remember Crown Court I would of been 6yrs young.I was off school for a couple of months due to a road accident I had....

Set in fictional Fulchester Crown court, characters played by actors but the jury was real people.

You can see some of todays actors as up and coming unknowns in the show. most famous is probably Richard wilson.

My wife and daughter love the muppet show, have all 5 seasons of it now. Just thought it was amusing that your childhood memories included watching the news. No offence.
