The Saturday Banana??

Can anyone tell me anything about this show, it ran from 1978(I think) though the early 80's, i think Bill Oddy Presented it, and also found mention of "Metal Mikey".Was it regional? Did you watch it?

It was shown in the London area, as I used to watch it.
It was the usual Saturday morning affair, which was on just before tiswas finally got to the LWT region.
Forgettable, but I can still hear Bill Oddie singing the theme tune in my head

Here's a random piece of useless information for you...

The show was originally intended to have the far more logical title of 'Saturday Bonanza', but apparently an error in communication somewhere down the line resulted in the somewhat bizarre title the show ultimately ended up with.

Maybe one day that information will come in handy to someone...

... but I doubt it.

Remember the bright yellow Ford Popular Hot Rod they had as part of the show??

That survived.....it's being rebuilt in my mate's workshop just south of Birmingham.
