Does anyone remember a film set in a big country house in England during Christmas?
(it’s not the children of green knowe, from time to time, Toms midnight garden, the Canterville ghost, a box of delights or the amazing mr blunden)
he’s a teen and stays with an uncle he doesn’t know.
the house is haunted and there’s a blackbird that sings at night, I think.
he learns the servants die in a fire and he helps to change the story. At one point he takes a torch to a cave where a servant boy is hiding out.
I’ve searched and searched but coming up empty.
I think it might’ve been a tv film, I’d guess at between the 80s and 90s. Saw it years back on YouTube but I can’t think of the title at all. TIA
