Remember some series in two or three parts in possibly early eighties.

This time traveler came back from a couple of generations ahead to the 'present ' ( no mobile phones or home PCs )

He had an affair with girl he met and went, came back a year later and she had a baby , he got her next weeks newspaper to get pools results and she got the jackpot! --this was to provide for the kid which she claimed was his

It turned out the kid grew up to be the time traveller's father

Think he was called Dominic or Derek

Any ideas people ?

Further to this post , I might be wrong about his name - Eric Clapton was singing 'Layla' as I posted it this morning so that may have affected my sub conscious memories!!!!!

Thanx very much, I was surprised to see there was a sequel made also ( wish I 'd watched it at the time lol )
