I remember seeing a few episodes of a short series - might have been HTV or a regional station. Young teenagers are sent to stay in a big house in the country with an eccentric and slightly creepy aunt. Lots of creepy things about the house. In an early episode (might have been the first one) she reads them a poem which turns out to be The Younghy Bonghy Bo by Edward Lear - except that isn't made clear. In the second episode (I think) and slightly younger lad turns up, wearing a trench coat and dark glasses and beret. Tells them a ludicrous story about being wanted by interpol. At the end of one episode they find blood on a wall which turns out to be ketchup.
It was braodcast before The Tomfoolery Show which was where I discovered the poem was by Lear so - early 1970 or late 1969. For some reason I've connected it in my mind with the Owl Service so they might have been shown roughly around the same time.
Any ideas?
