I remember a drama series back in the late 70's or early 80's about Saxons but can not recall the name or locate any record of it! Also a series with Josie Lawrence where all but four people had disappeared from the world, this was also around the late 70's early 80's.

.....and I think the first one could be Arthur of the Britons - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_of_the_Britons on TV in 1973 and made into a 90 minute film in 1975 called King Arthur, the Young Warlord
