Got a faint memory of a USA cop series a bit like Naked Gun/ Police Squad

The 'hero' kept firing rocket launchers and stuff and he always said
"Trust me, I know what I'm doing"

Think it was maybe late eighties/ early nineties and am sure it had Adam Ant in one of episodes.

Anybody?....

Cheers DYR , came up trumps again.

Don't think I watched it on telly, seem to recall watching a load of videos a good few years ago at a mates house all-nighter ( lots of lager etc)

Was it actually shown on UK TV?

It was, usually at some godawful hour of the night when there was nothing else on. It was one of those shows they used to move around the schedules seemingly at random, which made it difficult to get into, I always felt. Remington Steele was another-it used to just crop up at odd times.
