UK kids tv programme involving horses

I have a vague idea of it... and it's doing my head in!!! So HELP!!

It was live action... it involved a small boy on a big black stallion... and a taller boy on a smaller white horse with freckles? All I can remember from the programme is the titles may have included the galloping stallion along the beach.

Any suggestions??

I'm afraid it's none of these... It would have been broadcast around the 80's-90's in colour. For some reason I am reminded there might have been something Irish about it?

they both fit the young boy on a horse kind of thing... but they don't look like the right ones

EASY!! It was 'Silas' - shown on Children's BBC usually during Summer holidays



His friend with the smaller white horse has a gammy leg.
