Re: Thriller or Tales of the Unexpected
Armchair thriller.?
Hammer house of horror.?
I know what you mean Saturday or more likely Sunday night about 9pm..there was one where a man was bricked up alive that gave me nightmares. It predates the Charles and Di wedding because it looked weird on a colour tv with the colour set so there was an aura around the people at my aunts, we didn't get one until the royal wedding. One mans trash is another mans treasure !

Re: Thriller or Tales of the Unexpected
I think the plot sounds quite similar to a story from the TV series "Journey to the Unknown," which was made by Hammer in 1968. Specifically, the episode could have been "Poor Butterfly." Many episodes featured an American in the lead role as Hammer were keen on selling the series to the USA, and it may have had partial US finance behind it.
