about a tv comedy play I saw quite a few years ago, it was based in a welsh valley, about a cricket team annual dinner, with a dress theme of German wartime, it was held at a hotel where a group of German industrialists were also staying, I think it was James Bolam who might have been the chef and the play revolved around keeping the two groups apart
etc, any information related to the year, title, tv channel etc would be appreciated

A quick search for James Bolam on the IMDb has a "Screen One" play called "Sticky Wickets". No info on the plot, but there's a character called Friedrich, suggesting a German presence.

Thanks for the replies, 'Sticky Wickets' is the one!!, I have been trying to find that for ages, I now know it was a BBC tv play in 1990. does anyone know if I will be able to get a copy ?
