Does anyone remember a show that involved a professor (i think anthropology) - I think he solved mysteries, but I could be wrong. The scenes generally took place in his office. He had a female assistant who was a good friend of his.

Re: 80s or 90s tv show
"Virtual Murder", maybe? An early 90s BBC series with Nicholas Clay as Professor John Cornelius and Kim Thomson as his girlfriend, Samantha, solving quirky crimes. Lots of guest stars (Jon Pertwee, Richard Todd, Bernard Bresslaw, Julian Clary, Peggy Mount, etc). It was trying to be a bit like a 1990s version of "The Avengers", but didn't quite succeed.

I agree with Lurker. 'Virtual Murder' seems to fit. Here's a link that tells you a bit more:

Re: 80s or 90s tv show
I read the synopsis of the show. The premise sounds right (except the vampires - the show I'm thinking of was more realistic), but the actors are wrong. I wish I knew the name of the actor - then I could just Google it. Was this show a remake or was there a remake after it that could be the one I'm thinking of? The show I'm thinking of was set somewhere in America.Last edited by tlsilveus; 03-04-2009, 00:22.

Re: 80s or 90s tv show
I caught a glimpse of heroes tonight... one of the actors on the show (don't even know if he is a regular) is the starring actor of the show I'm trying to find the name of. I didn't catch his character's name (or his in the credits), but he was in the final scene of heroes tonight. Does that help anyone to help me find the name of the series. I went to imdb for heroes, but I didn't see his picture.
