BBC show, one off drama, Doppelgänger

Does anyone know the name of an hour long british thriller about doppelgängers? It definatly aired sometime in the 90's, i'm thinking 1995 or later.
It seemed to be about an attractive blond woman who has an evil doppelganger who seduces her husband while she's out of the country. The husband learnt from a university professor about the old tale that if two dopplegangers meet, they would both die. They do meet in the end, in a finale in a forest. I remember the evil twin climbing a tree for some reason.
It also has LOTS of sex.

no, it wasnt that posters show. This was a one off, hour long drama. i dont remember any ad breaks, so i'm gonna say it was BBC 1. post watershed due to the sexual content. deffinatly 90's, not 80's.

I know this is an old post but I found this site as I too was looking for the source of this program and remember it very well. I believe it was a 1997 Ruth Rendell Mystery called "The Double" and the Doppelgänger was played by the gorgeous Camilla Power.

I couldn't find any more information about it but it's probably viewable as part of a DVD set or something.
