    Re: Those European narrated series

I remember a series where the father/uncle went off to town in his horse and cart. He asked the 2 kids what they wanted, the boy said lots of things and the girl said the first thing he sees.
The man comes back with all the stuff for the boy and 3 acorns/nuts for the girl. The acorns/nuts crack open one by one and there are wonderful things inside them.
Can't remember what its called or how it ended or what was in the nuts!

Could it be this one? (Scroll down a little less that half way to 'The Legend of Tim Tyler')

    Oops...........oh yes.

Bit if trivia: The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe; a French serial, based on a book by an English author (who sometimes claimed French ancestory), starring an Austrian actor and narrated by an American who spent the second half of his life in France and preported to be using an English accent on the narration itself. That was an English accent??

I remember some of the later ones which were dubbed rather than narrated, Heidi, Silas and Tim Tyler come to mind.

    Those European narrated series

    Hi everyone.
in the 1970s children’s TV in UK seem to have many of these shows from Europe that were either dubbed or narrated in English.
here are a few i can remember. These are probably from 1974 - 1980

The singing ringing tree. (East Germany)
    The Singing Ringing Tree
The Singing Ringing Tree: outline of the story

the bear looked like bungle’s (from rainbow) lost cousin.

    the girl from class 5b
b/w and shown early in the morning.

    The white horses

    Belle and Sebastian

does anyone know of any more?
