  • Late 80's BBC childrens drama series

I apologise in advance for the vague description, but here goes...

I'm trying to remember the name of a late 80's, possibly even early 90's childrens drama series that lasted just one season

A brother and sister live in a town that is contolled by a group of strange siblings, one controls the police, one the electricity, one the schools and so on, sort of like a family local government, to which the locals are un aware.

The siblings all hate each other and want to control the town individually, I don't recall too much more other than the plot pans out to be that the brother and sister eventually find out, that they too are related to these siblings and as such have the right to be in charge of a part of the town too.

The only character name I can remember is Tarquin, he is the youngest of the siblings, slightly dopey, and friendly to the brother and sister.

Again I apologise for being vague, but all manner of searches online have yeilded nothing for me as yet

Thank you for a quick reply, but that's not the one unfortunately

It was a British made programme, possibly only a 6/8 episode series on BBC childrens tv
