Could you be remembering "Star Maidens"?

I know it's not Dr Who, Battlestar Gallactica, Space 1999 or UFO. I'm thinking it was an American show. Very sleek and glam.

Are you sure it's not the Doctor Who story, Destiny of the Daleks?

The Movellans who appeared in that story were human-looking aliens who all wore white padded costumes and had silver braided hair. One of the actresses actually was a catwalk model before she turned to acting: Susan something-or-other.

Unlike most 70s Doctor Who, the Movellan sets looked high budget - all gleaming white surfaces and flashing switches.

YouTube - Dr Who - Destiny of the Daleks Photoslides Movie The Movellans appear at 1.12.

I know it's not: Tomorrow People, Sapphire and Steele, Martian Chronicles, Space 1999, UFO, Fantastic Journey, Blake's 7.

can you remember... were the actors mainly British or USA?

    The original Battlestar Galactica?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles...1978_TV_series)

In the opening movie, they trundled around the prairie in the dark, and even had (oh lord) a wild west style episode.

    Thanks for the replies people.

I had already discounted Logans Run. And it's definately not Buck Rogers, which I know well.

I'm starting to think it was a dream. Or at least false memory from childhood where many things were more glamorous than they are when viewed as an adult!

One of the many great things about this site is that whilst a poster is helping one person, they help or delight another in the process. I haven't seen Logan's Run in years and it was just fabulous to see the pics on that link. Thanks eco!

    hi there
    it could be Logans Run
The Logan's Run Telivision Show Page

there were many scenes of the main characters running in the wilderness.
The girl in it was called jessica 6

but as Claudine says it could be Buck rogers in the 21st century with Gil Gerard and that annoying robot twikie (or whatever it was called).

it definitely had a big budget and always marveled at that cityscape shot they kept repeating.
though i think the show began in the early 1980s.

How about Moon Zero 2 (though that was a film)
