This is one that escaspes me as I can find NO link or reference to it, BAR BAR or BARBAR the elephant is now a recognised cartoon, but many years ago (1970's)I watched it on TV, and it was quite different.
I have a vivid memory of real actors wearing masks, and distinctively, the masks had pin hole eyes and NO MOUTH detail.
They acted out the program in a mime style.
The Elephant was just the same with pinhole eyes, and oversized head, the program was overdubbed, and it the actors seem to dressed in Edwardian or Victorian costume.
Many who saw it were creeped out by it, and it was supposed to be for children.
But where has this gone?
I and a mate who is a "Super Surfer" can find nothing, not even 1 pic.
Just the cartoon.
