TV show name/Dodgem 1991

I remember a TV show, English) 80's or early 90's where a boy and girl cover themselves in stinging nettles to go to the hospital section of a childrens home (i think). They did this so they could run away from the home.

Can anyone remember what it was called?

I think this was called Dodgem, an adaptation of a Bernard Ashley novel.

Some of it is set in a funfair, hence the name.

I wish someone would put dodgem up on youtube. It seems to have been totally abandoned,

i remember this was an awsome show, and there was another good show around that time about some kids who i think lived or broke into an abandoned building in London and kept getting in trouble but i dunno the name. was it 'the something street kids' ? or was this something else.

I remember this, it was based on a Bernard Ashley novel.

Can't remember much about it, apart from it was mostly set in a childrens home & this boy ran away & ended up working at a funfair.

There was a standard 1990s moody teenage girl (see 2.4 Children, So Haunt Me, Watt On Earth etc) in a supporting role.
