yeah, she was the one who disappeared when she sneezed, if i'm right. Timothy Claypole was my favourite.

                Re: rentaghost

Dobbin was also my nickname during my Apprenticeship!

The first series of Rentaghost was best, where they were in the mansion type thing. Then it just went stupid after that.

The other day I was watching an old Dr Who thing and mentioned I thought one of the actors in it was quite attractive but nearly had a fit when someone said it was Mr Meaker from Rentaghost so I had a look at an old clip and it was...but I still kinda liked him even as Mr M How did that happen? It just isn't right on any level lol!

Mr Meaker in his Dr Who days. Tell me I'm not going mad...there is something about him. I'm just trying to convince myself here! lol

I really liked Rentaghost, & was thrilled when the 8:15 From Manchester Showed it years later.

They also showed Grandad by the same writer Bob Block, but didn't last long enough to show Gallopping Galaxies.

I liked Rentaghost and Grandad but I can't remember Galloping Galaxies, though the name rings a bell. Alot of people say the early series of Rentaghost in the late 70s was better, but I was too young to remember it. It's got an old Victorian ghost and a different normal-looking bloke and none of the characters I remember except Mr Claypole.

I cant believe Michael Staniforth (The guy who played Timothy Claypole) died so young, only 3 years after they stopped filiming. Apparently died of an Aids related illness

Yep it's a shame. Some of the others are gone too - Hazel McWitch and my beloved Mr Meaker

never liked it after they wrote dobbin in, made Harold meaker and his wife the central pratfallers and added both the sneezy ghost and the scottish Macwitch character

much preferred the first series with the dapper Mr Davenport,
