Mid 1970s ITV Teen Drama

Anyone out there remember the name of a children's/teen drama series that was shown on ITV early Sunday evenings around 1975?

My memories of it are that it seemed to feature a surly young man in leathers/denims who I think was from the Midlands, and was often set outdoors on waste ground.

I seem to recall that it was unusual insofar as the outdoor scenes were filmed on VT (Video Tape) which was real cutting edge for the time.

Scratch those last two.. There was a 1970's Teen drama featuring gangs set in Birmingham called The Siege Of Golden Hill.
Any closer?

Sounds like Gangsters.

I'm too young to remember it but it's mentioned in 1 or 2 books on classic TV shows, & was created by Philip Martin, who also wrote for Dr Who.

Thanks Sixtyten, I googled it and The Siege of Golden Hill seems to tick all the boxes.

I would never have remembered the name though.

Pity, doesn't look like there's any excerpts of it on Youtube.
