What was this children's TV series???

There were children living in a big house with large grounds. There were statues in the grounds that used to come alive at night.
I think they were of animals as well as people. It was a bit spooky? My partner has always remembered it but doesn't know what it was called so we cant look it up. Can anyone help?

Thank you to all and well done huggie 74 it was The Enchanted Castle. Also thanks for the sausagenet link, i ended up on the site for hours going right through from A to Z and watching all the clips on youtube!
