Killer Rabbit

I wonder if anyone can help me? Its been driving me mad for the last 20 or so years - i think it was on a Sunday Morning or afternoon it was about a forest full of animal families (the animals were people in suits) and the 1 family were rabbits. The dad rabbit was a maniac and tried to kill others. I have looked everywere on the internet but dont no where to start and the only other person who has a vague idear what im on about is my mom - nobody eles has a clue. im really hoping somebody might know on here - HELP!!

it was the Gophers, thanx very much. Iv just had a look and its taken me back to my childhood. Was the dad rabbit a maniac or did i imagin it?

By all accounts the whole programme was quite sinister.

iv watched the 1st episode today on youtube and it was the ferret that was evil but yes it was really sinister - brilliant, thanx mate
