80's (I think) late saturday night show in uk???

Hello everyone,
Welcome to my first post, I've been trying to remember a late night show on a saturday - I seem to remember that the main character was either wrongly convicted, man on the edge or working for a secret organisation - type, but the one thing a remember quite vividly is the fact that he drove a truck where the trailer unfolded and there was a helicopter in the back. Sorry for vagueness but this really bugging me, any help would be much appreciated.
