Early one off TV drama - possibly part of an anthology series

I remember seeing a drama on ITV about 1992, set in the North East in the early 1980s.

It concerned some workers who were sacked for staging an unofficial strike & getting into far left politics.

Eventually they were arrested for attempted murder after a botched wage-snatch on the company they formerly worked for.

A lot of music from that time was featured, including Under Pressure & Tained Love.

Does anyone else remembers this, I think it was based on real events?
