These days I'm inclined to think that I would have hated something like The Pink Windmill show, but at the time I was merely indifferent to it. I certainly watched full episodes of it. Not sure how because it looks so bad!

I was maybe at the age of not liking the show? there certainly wasn't any resentment seeing kids my age performing on TV, what really wound me up was the way these kids would over exaggerate every fluffing thing they did or said

I suppose that it looked alright at the time, when light entertainment shows still had musical and dancing interludes, but looking back, the show did look a bit, shall we say, sugary to say the least.

I can imagine a lot of kids hating Emu's World and the Pink Windmill Show because of the resentment of seeing kids of their own age group performing and dancing on TV.

I was maybe at the age of not liking the show? there certainly wasn't any resentment seeing kids my age performing on TV, what really wound me up was the way these kids would over exaggerate every fluffing thing they did or said

Another one that comes to mind......Junior Showtime. Cringed every time that was on.

I remember Grotbags used to have a quiz segment in the show with some of the "brats" as contestants.

They would win some prizes & have the chance to gamble them for a mystery prize which was normally something not as good.

I loved Grotbags and the show, i can't remember much of the show though.

I can't think what the kids tv show was called but it had Grotbags in, i adored her. I think she died a year or so ago.

She was in Emu's All-Live Pink Windmill Show and other associated Emu programmes plus her own show, Grotbags. She was played by Carol Lee Scott, and, yes, she passed away a few months ago.

I liked Scooby Do, but agree about his hell-puppy nephew Scrappy Do.

Introducing that character, Scrappy Doo, totally wrecked that cartoon.

Thomas The Tank Engine.

I don't know about Thomas the Tank - we wouldn't have had the late 1980s Bobby Davro parody of that if it hadn't have been on TV. And it kept Ringo Starr (as well as the Ringo Starr sound-alike Michael Angelis) in the spotlight after the Beatles and his solo career.
