Another classic opening shown at around the same time as White Horses ( mornings during the summer school holidays ) .... The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe with Robert Hoffmann. Great theme tune.

Back in the day I was not enamoured by The Wombles or its theme tune but listening to it now it is a cracking song. It sounds very like the Beatles. You'd never get a theme tune like that on a kids tv show these days.

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

Wouldn't you just love Jamie's magic torch? Ideal bank robbers tool: shine it at the safe and in you go after all that money

The original Hawaii 5-0 I found dull but the theme... wow!

Sunday afternoon BBC political programme On The Record. It's mascot was a Big Ben type croc. Plus the theme music reminds me of Sunday roast cooking.

Good idea for a thread, which can be tweaked a little, the shows you watched and enjoyed as a kid, you would possibly be disappointed if seen today but the opening/closing credits with the theme will bring back wonderful memories. Good example of this for me would be all the Gerry Anderson "filmed in supermarionation" shows, fast moving american style and slick.

I liked that as well, I remember reading the Croc's roar was a slowed down chime of Big Ben!

There is an odd muzak version of the Follyfoot theme that used to be on TV Cream, but I'm sure you can find it on You Tube.
