and is the first in the degrasssi series about the lives of a group of children living on degrassi st in ontario canada.

it had 1 season of 26 episodes lasting a half hour.

in 87 they made degrasssi jnr high which had 3 seasons of 14 episodes.
it lasted until 89.

I used to love watching 'Kids Of Degrassi Street' in the early '80s, I heard a 15-second version of the theme tune for the first time in ages on that Tellytunes website. Oddly enough, I never really bothered with 'Degrassi Junior High'.

Same here, when DJH was on I was first at secondary school, which finished later & was further away from home, so I used to miss most of CBBC.

After a year the timetables were changes so school ended later, but by then I don't think it was on.
