Kids show with badgers, border collie, huge mansion and birds?

I have looked everywhere on the internet but I can't seem to find this great kid's drama that I used to watch when I was little. In the 90's.

A couple of kids were protecting badgers or something and there was a man who could enter the bodies of animals, mostly a border collie I think? There was also a huge old mansion with secret doors or something?

Anybody recognize it?

That's not it.. Think it was a bit later in the 90's than that.. But thanks anyway!

Think it was in the late 90's or possibly veeeery early in the 21st century..

Ohhh out of my time comfort zone then sorry I have done a quick search but that awful Bodger and Badger series keeps cropping up.
Maybe one of our younger members may know! I fear I'm to old to know this one
