Back at home, she enjoys another cup of Brooke Bond D, surrounded by other food shopping on the table after a trip to the supermarket; she pats the box of teabags on the top. The kids play piggyback with the mother in the living room with animated and exaggerated...

I could do with a D - Brooke Bond D
There is at least one particular advert which was mostly on ITV region screens between around 1986 and 1988 which I found rather exciting, yet its jingle could be annoying at the same time. The word Yuppie was the basically the word Chav of the second half of the 1980s, and Yuppie sounded more like...

I don't think that it was ever commercially available - I also remember it shown on Challenge and clips of it were also shown on Thames' End of the Year Show on New Year's Eve 1992 just before they closed down handed over to Carlton after the Big Ben chimes. Perhaps the BFI in London could help?...

Did anyone assume that KITT and Stephen Hawking had the same voice? They did sound very similar. And of course Michael Knight who went to the Shakin' Stevens school of early to mid 1980s denim wearers...

Anyone looking forward to Easter this year? The enthronement of the first female Archbishop of Canterbury this week will hopefully get me in the mood from a Christian perspective. The first Urbi et Orbi with Pope Leo XIV in charge will make it interesting after the Easter Day church service - the BBC...

I hope that Boy George will be the saviour of the San Marino entry and that from a UK perspective, any fans of him will help to secure it in the final....

A Chorus Line (1985)
One... singular sensation... every little step she takes... One... thrilling combination... every move that she makes... (ad infinitum). Every time I tune into Elaine Paige on Sunday on BBC Radio 2 when having my Sunday lunch microwave meal, I always half expect her to play it nearly every other week,...

That was short-lived, wasn't it? Avatars stand out on the page a lot more than member's names do, and at first glance, sometimes it can be difficult to see which posts are mine and which ones are other people's.
I do feel sorry for all the members on here who have such great avatars and...
