In around 1997 I reemmber adverts for somthing called Two-Way TV which allowed viewers with, I assume, a special remote control or computer keyboard to take part in game shows and quizzes. I believe that it didn't last very long and it petered out by the end of the 1990s. I know that the latter Les Dennis era of Family Fortunes was one of the shows where viewers at home could take part guessing answers to questions just like contestants in the TV studio. Methinks that it might have been linked to some Premium Rate telephone number where one could win a prize related to the show (in the days when a telephone number started with 08 rather than 09), and so I thought tat in hindsight that it sounded a bit dodgy. Thankfully, my family never had one and they just had terrestrial TV back then without the Sky and Challenge extras. Bit of a One-Way street than a Two-Way one.
