who here remembers highlighting their hair with one of those rubber caps?
would love to hear your stories.

My mum has a hairdresser come round to do her hair, & often has one of these one, along with some foil & the smell of ammonia in the air.

I posted the first time I permed my hair on another thread. Yes men did it in the 80s.. was the latest trend. I squirm now at the idea of perming my hair. I recall the rubber cap.

Until quite recently - I guess as recent as the late 90s too , I am thinking!
