I bought a Bronx leather biker jacket from Lewis Leathers during the eighties. It was solid hide, took ages to break in and creaked every time I flexed my arms. I'm pretty sure I got it for a good price during a sale.
Biker jackets have always been a classic I suppose regardless of the decade. I wouldn't wear one now, just something to look back on.

Greenwoods was never "fashionable" if I am being honest Richard - my Grandad managed to be on near-on first name terms with all the Managers (and they'd always try and "con him" into a "good deal" while my Grandma was elsewhere in Town .... and bless him as much as he was as a man of the World, he always fell for these Guy's Tricks (more so when it involved Cords) as opposed to other stuff - but those Managers knew how to deal the "Sucker Punches" by reducing prices as Managers did in the 80s and 90s to earn extra comission!

I mainly wore track suits and trainers trainers where those ones with out laces you had a sort of sticky thing you pulled across to tighten up ur trainers.

Loved cords but i only wore loose fitting clothes.
    [/color] stuff.
Only trouble with Cords was they invarably shrank in the Wash Daz mate - though I don't know if Washing Machine's 2day can over-ride that

In my Town Greenwoods was for years and years the "to go place" for them followed by M & S, though i don't know how they survive in my Town these day's!!

Until 8 to 10 years back in my Town we was extremley lucky to have two Greenwoods - abliet 1 was like a Factory Outlet kind like you would see say at a Freeport like at Fleetwood I don't knpowif you have been if you have ever bee n over the waters) but it is worth a visit even though Greenwoods went bust totaly

wearing Farrar's at School was an extremley popular way of wearing non school Trousrs at both my Schools 9but you was still wearing School Trousers) at least until sub-ing them with Joggers and Trakkie Bottoms of the same Colour took over!!

I have too many that are my faves to be honest - Button Down Colar Shirts, Long Sleeved Polos, even that mix of a Shell and Tracksuit Type thing that arrived late 80s to early 90s

I think my biggest one though (including the James Dean look as mentioned above) was Paul Weller polourising wearing your Tiie skinny (or how we altered our School Ties) to be like "Slim Jim Ties"

I guess I was lucky to be born late 70s as I hit that cross-over period of Mods etc returning early 80s then just elaberate colourfull clothing that exploded mid 80s like what followed with rancid suits in the late 80s to mid/late-ish 90s (think the 1996 Liverpool Cup Final Team in White suits) and like Gregg Kelly on the old Corrie's now being repeated in addition to Pastrol Coloured Ties!

I had a pair of yellow leather trainer/boxer boots in the 80s , 2nd coolest to my Doc Marten shoes (toffee apple coloured)
I still have the shoes but the colour has darkened somewhat now.

The 1980s were a decade of daring fashion, colours, and silhouettes—as well as a lot of permed hair. It was one of the most diverse decades in fashion, with styles ranging from torn tights and biker jackets to polished lightweight blazers and poof dresses, and style icons ranged from Joan Jett to Joan Collins.

Same here Zincubus mate - I never got being a Jeans man but Farrahs and Cororoy's was the "Order of the Day" Trousers-wise at Secondary Schoiol, though Cords was less easy to gottan away with mind!

Canít recall what I wore in the 80ís ( my twenties ) but I do recall wearing parallel trousers at secondary school , followed by two-tone parallels soon after ... I also remember going on holiday to St Ives , Cornwall in the mid seventies and being shocked how far behind they were as regards teenage fashions

I also went through a phase of wearing Ď loons Ď which were skintight on the thigh and as wide as a tent from the knee down !!

Flat-top haircut. As it grew out, I turned it into one of those fluffy Limahl style mullets - my most grievous fashion sin. I regret it even now.
I not certain but half or way past half that Del Boy in Only fools had one of those - sure indeed they was the Bees Knees and represented style for a Nightclub before Nightlubs slacked 1000 degress on respectable dress codes!! Though saying that it night of been Mikey now thinking back not Del!! Either way though MalcomAndSheldon I think I'd only endorse it, if it was reversed tied like how we aimed for at School to copy Paul weller and co!

Agreed yeah but I prefer my Joggers or the like than Jeans or like Nike airMax trakkies/Joggers - like the leather esq kind/those what sqeak funny when you sit down!

Talking of James Dean, Tex - that line from OFAH when Rodney dressed as so and either grandad or uncle Albert or Del said (but I think it was Uncle Albert now on reflection) that said "was that before the Car Crash or after" as poor Rodders had wrecked the effort so bad/badly - which is incvarably the case and can either make or wreck a style if not copied/immitated correctly! Never-theless what a corker of a line indeed no doubts

True yes I agree - though he was not an 1980s Guy of course

Unless of course your Rodney from Only fools and you make an hash of it, like he did

On a sub-note though i'd swap the Jeans for Trakkies/Joggers mind as hate and detest Jeans!!
