great to see they are still arond and as nice as ever

i think vitds eye dish fingers are still atound and other things like opal fruits and marathon.mars bars fanta lemon,orange etc.

its one thing them still around but what really matters is they stil the same.

Birds Eye Potato Waffles. Still available, and stilly Waffly versatile.

I do them in the toaster, and they are handy when I cannot be bothered preparing chips or othe potato variations.

They are also good with melted cheese on a s a filling light snack....

I used to love 'Daloon Spring Rolls' and 'Daloon Apple Pies' (think thats what they were called) in the 80's. I think the spring rolls are still about but taste totally different. The apple ones were exactly the same as McDonalds apple pies!! Don't think they exist now though.

Me & my girlfriend were trying to think of an 80's menu a while back. It's a shame you can't seem to get the tinned spaghetti shapes like Invaders & Haunted House any more. Same for Ice Magic, though there is another sauce that sets almost the same.

Crispy Pancakes & Artic Rolls were some of the things we came up with that are still available.

Ive not sen crispy pancakes and arctic rolls for a very long time mate..
Are they still the same as ever.

so many that where around a long time ago are no very different boost bars for example.

While on the subject of food that's still around, anyone else thought of having an "80s day", where you only eat things from the 80s, watch 80s TV and perhaps play Pong etc. Given that you can still buy loads of this stuff it would be easy to organise. The only problem is I don't think I could stomach Vesta Chow Mein and Findus Crispy Pancakes on the same day. Still, it would be an entertaining day.

I used to love Pek! Its a brand name sixty. It's a type of chopped pork and ham type product!

Pek, chips and beans, with woodsmoked sauce is amazing. One of my favourite meals and easy to make too. I way prefer it over spam.

Yeah, thats the one. Green's. Saw it today in Sainsbury's and it made me smile. Was going to mention it here. Green's used to be a big name in the 70s and 80s with all their mixes...still got a Cheesecake mix in the cupboard...been meaning to make it...even bought a new cake tin with removable base a few months back...lol.

I remember Tip Top. Didn't the ad go 'wanna wanna Tip Top' and the can would jig forward....? Actually bought two tins of it today for nostalgia! Didn't see any Dream Topping today but did see Tip Top in a spray can-Nestle makes it all now...

I also remember Angel Delight being harder to make yonks back. Took longer to set as well back then....and they used to say let it set in the fridge back then too.

Pek chopped pork! I've mentioned before how my parent's cupboards are always loaded with tins of this. Come nuclear war I'll be round there then hiding out surviving on chopped pork sarnies.

One of my friends keeps a tin of Pek in case of emergency.

Can we include non-food items in the thread?

I was thinking about Shake 'n' Vac which, despite having one of the most memorable adverts of all time, was actually a bit of a rubbish product. I mean who wants to throw stuff all over the carpet only to vacuum it all up again? Talk about making hard work for yourself! I can't believe it's still on sale in this fragrant era of Febreeze etc.
