Twiglets and Huntley and Palmers cheese footballs! (reckon they were around in the 50s but thought they were well cool in the 70s)

        Oh my goodness, ...cheese footballs!

How about pineapple and cheese cubes on sticks? (Strange déja vu...... Im sure I made a post about this the other day...)

I'm afraid mine is pretty standard- for childhood parties it was jelly, ice-cream, chocolate Swiss roll and crisps. Perhaps also peanuts...
Re. the above, we still serve pineapple and cheese cubes on sticks NOW whenever we have guests round! They're timeless, a superb contrast between sweet and savoury.

I've never been that keen on cheese footballs, especially the ones filled with cream cheese.

I was a little surprised to see crystalised orange & lemon segments when shopping a few days ago, I was in 2 minds about getting some.

I used to like deltas, about the size & similar taste to Mini Chedders, with thinner & shaped like a triangle with rounded corners. I'm not sure if they are still around.

Another party classic was Tip Top, often on top of tinned fruit cocktail.

Crisps poured into a serving platter, i.e. a variety of different types. I remember Hula Hoops tasted all the more nicer and felt special eating off a paper party plate. but this would have been the early 1980s for me.

I also liked Kiplings Fondant Fancies, prawn cocktails, small triangular sandwiches...

Mine too! Sometimes we had them with chipolatas on as well. They are timeless and just as tasty now as then.
