I wonder whether McVities still do Jaspers? - I believe that they were biscuits that had bits of fruit in them. I believe that Chris Tarrant used to do the voiceover in the adverts.

That's right, as explained here (where you can also see a list of past winners)

We used to have placemats that had that pattern on them.

But then again, Crocodile Dundee was Australian...

United Biscuits - they gave Dale Winton his first job as a DJ on their factory's in-house radio station.

If you want a lot of chocolate on your biscuit, join our Club!

I am almost certain that Jacob's Club is still available (I am sure that Tesco still sells them) but they haven't had an advertising campaign for years - I know that there was Golf Club; Playing Card Club; Orange, Mint etc on the wrappers. I haven't seen them for a while.

They were made by Rowntree and then Nestle, just like Kit Kat and Breakaway was, but they never seemed to get as much advertising or space on supermarket shelves as those two other products.

And no, I do not know what a Riband is - could it be something American? I know that the spelling system on my computer doesn't put a red line underneath it, and so therefore it is recognised as a word. I used to think it was called "Blue Ribbon" for obvious reasons and would probably spell it like that as well.
