I havent gone through all this thread, so following may be mentioned, but, anyone remember a gorgeous banana ice-cream lolly that had like a lovely raspberry centre? it was gorgeous!

also I remember the three Terrors of the Deep.
One had a shark on the front, another an octopus, think third was deep sea diver? havent seen (or Ive missed) pic of those wrappers. LOL

my fave was heart- better than today's version magnum, it was shaped like a heart, chocolate covered icecream with strawberry in the middle that tasted like strawberry cream. And Lord Toffingham wich was banoffe, [toffee and banana]. Originally it was called Lord Snooty but was changed to Lord Toffingham when the Beano comic threatened legal action regarding their character of the same name and forced the name change.

Hi all. Well I found this sight while looking for information on the internet. Once I got in I kind of recognise a number of the items shown from my collection! ;-) Well I am guessing they are one and the same as I got many off ebay and there are not too many of the display items around that I know of. Anyhow great discussion and loads of information on a hobby and memories from a totaly different perspective. Makes the hobby real.

Saw a box of FAB lollies as they are now by Nestle....not appetising to look at and really smaller now. These old packaging pics made the lollies look tasty and make me feel thirsty for one....the new stuff we have today? No chance.

I used to love "Mivvi" not sure whether you can still get them. They had sort of a soft creamy filling with a fruity outside.

I will gradually add some text and other additions.

Forgot to mention about the Fat Frogs. The HB company in ireland also made them They seemed very slightly different, but they were available a while after Walls stopped making them. But only if you were on holiday of course in Ireland.

And I have forgotten. I have push up wrappers at the bottom of the Ice Lolly page. Were they Walls, Lyons Maid or Dale Farm???

Just scanned and posted a few classic wrappers here.....

    http://www.ayrshirehistory.com/sweet...e_lollies.html

Thought I was the only one to have a scrap book of this stuff, all those years ago.

Fat Frogs..... Used to love them... Walls used to do them, and then like everything else, they stopped making them. Dinosaurs were pretty much the same type of green flavoured stuff... But they also stopped..

Wish someone could source the old wrigglers again...

    Enjoy the memories
