1977, silver jubilee year, I remember visiting an aunt in London for a weeks holiday in the capital.
this was the first time I’d visited london and the first time I encountered instant noodles .
at the time they weren’t available at home “oop north”.
I distinctly remember the plastic noodle bowl they were packaged in was white with small willow pattern type characters on them.
something tells me crosse and Blackwell but that may be wrong . The flavour was a sweet and sour and it was a good six months before they were available locally at home along with golden wonder pot noodles .
anyone recall the (possibly) crosse and Blackwell noodles?
