The imagebam links to the reverses still work, but for some reason, the DYR image viewer doesn't open them.

    Me too.

First one: the sapling becomes a tree, and the person ages. In the top right, flight goes through improvements.
Third one: the four seasons of the year.

Anyone think there might be something to do with the directions of the character's eyes? Like, the way they're pointing could be something to do with the numbers on a clock. So the first pic shows 7, 0 (closed eyes), 12, 6. Second pic 7, 0, 11, 7.25 or 5.35 (cross eyed). Third pic 6.0, 12, 5.35 or 7.25 (not quite as cross eyed as the other one).
Also, in the third pic, there is a field with crops & a sheep in it behind her, could be linked to Springfield, as spring is the first panel of that picture.

Does anyone still have a copy of the reverses? I tried to view them at full screen, but i just got blank orange pages.

The clock doesn't change time despite the rapid growth of the tree, the clock wouldn't be there if it wasn't relevant,

I found a list of streets in Tring. There is no "avenue" there. There is, however a Grove Road, which I think is a plausible answer.

There's also Elm Tree Walk, Sycamore Drive, The Beeches, The Orchards and Thorn Tree Drive, but they don't sound likely to me.

Well, it was a bit of a hail Mary. Still, nice try!
Thing is, if anyone does get it right, we've no way of knowing. Unless someone did win, finds this thread and replies with the solution.

This is insane. I can't see anything in these posters to suggest a name and address at all. I keep thinking it must be simpler than we all think!

I read this thread a few months ago, I was really hoping that the answer would be posted on here by the time I got to the end of it.

And no, I don't know the answer either.

I had these posters on my bedroom wall for 3 years, then pulled them down as none of my family ever figured out anything from them. Reading through this thread I’m amazed this quiz was aimed at kids!!
sorry for bringing up old thread, but 35 years later these posters came into my head and the hours of frustration trying to figure out this darn address - a google brought up this thread!

could the name be Phil Wright - the plant looks like a Philodendron in the second poster (sweetheart vine) - another refernce to Herts? Wright bros. from the aircraft?

I remember this! - spent ages trying to solve it as a kid! - I did enter but I think I got it wrong as I never heard anything - I will have a think about it. I think it was pitched way to difficult for children.

Does anyone remember the Walker's crisps Treasure Trail competition which was around the same time and was equallly difficult to solve!
