Does anyone remember "Whistlers", they were around during the 1970's. Were fruit flavoured and looked like an oversized Polo, but if you put them between your lips, you blew throught them and it would give out a loud whistle (Doh!!).

Are these what we mentioned on the Bubblegum thread.We were talking about a pink bubblegum sold in clear packet, you only got one but it was like a polo and you whistled with it??

Hi Daz,
they were definitely a hard sweet and not bubble gum. They were fruit flavoured, had a harder texture than sherbert lollies, but if I remember tasted similar.

i can remember PACERS they were like mint opal fruits,or should i say starbursts.also loved trio biscuit bars,the advert was fab!!

No,got enough junk without collecting empty wrappers.
I wish I had some of them though, still waiting for that guy to post his collection on here,but don't think he's been back since:cry:

A search threw up some multi coloured ones!
Pink and white are the only acceptable colours IMHO
