Corner shop, had a big display sayiing "some things should be left in the 80;s" or similar.
but all the press says its not released till 8th october
shop had loads of them

No worries..i mean its not the 70's Nutty bar that was mentioned, looks like a Us or European shallow imitation.
The Nutty was a thick roll of soft toffee rolled in peanuts, so they covered the whole surface. nearest thing around today in the US Payday bar..

wasnt the nutty bar covered in chocolate???? i remember them being in a brown packet and i used to have one every monday night from the pubs shop on the way home from brownies, so this was around 1978

Yep! The long forgotten Nutty was the same as the Payday..
still a great bar if you can find one (cybercandy)
But I did love a Nutty!
and no, the uk nutty was the same as the bar above.
a slab of fudge rolled in half peanuts..
the nearest thing in choc would be a Picnic

yep been thinking about it and no it didnt have choc on i love starbars too, and i wondered what had happened to cocconut boosts too,

Nutty was in a clear brown wrapper and the writing was yellow think they cost about 10p, so a cheap one lol,
and the paydays are almost there but the nuts are salted on them they weren't on nutty,
think i'll stick to starbars lol oh and i love reeses too can get that from morrissons

on the Nutty/Payday score..I can't decide.
UK nutty was NOT salty, i can vouch for that,but I must say, even though the US Payday is not in salted nuts, it DOES tasty very salty

Blimy yes i'd forgotten all about those. As Texan was my favorite Nutty bar is my second now I remember it. I used to eat the nutty bar by eating the nuts off a bite size section first then the fudgey bit and repeat the process all the way down the bar. Bring 'em back!!!!!

Does anyone remember Cabana bars? They were in a blue packet and they were a coconut bar with bits of cherry wedged in the coconut with a layer of runny toffee on top all covered in chocolate. They were delicious. Also, on the subject of coconut, why did Revels do away with the chocolate covered coconut balls and replace them with those boring raisins instead? Still on the coconut trail, does anyone remember coconut Boosts? I think they were the first edition of Boost and the best in my eyes - better than the boring biscuit ones that are out now. Oh God, I'm on a roll, remember Star Bars? They were like Boosts but had peanut butter in the centre instead.

I LOVED Cabana bars. And you can still get starbars. mmm
