I seem to remember a haunted house one as well (probably brought out for Halloween) and as you slid the inner box out, spooks and monsters appeared in the windows.

Wow, Well done Huggy! I searched high and low for a pic of Weekend. All I could find were other nostalgia sites saying nobody could find any pics.

I've copied it into the 'Help Me With The Name Of These Chocolates Please' thread. Thanks!

I'll bet there are landfill sites with old 'Weekend' boxes that still have decaying lemon slices and montelimars in them - yeeeuch!

              Ahhh, chocolate tools. How lovely!

I friend of mine used to work as a sales rep for Trebor in Maidstone and a few years ago, I asked him what happened to the chocolate tools.

Apparently, Trebor had a dedicated machine to produce the tools, but after many years hard work, it finally fell to bits. Trebor looked into getting a replacement, but inflation had taken its toll and they realised that they would need to sell the chocolate tools for the next 50 or so years before they would break even and begin to make a profit, so they decided to end the range.

              Very sad.

Does anyone have any of the wrappers for the Dinosaur chews from the 1970s? Five chews, probably from Trebor, blocked together in an outer wrapper with a colour picture of a different dinosaur on each pack.

Trebor never made a chew called Dinosaurs.
The chews you are refering to were called Monsters
I have an illustration of the pack from a comic, but not a picture of the real thing

I've done a complete search of the forum, and unless there is a problem with the search facility, I'm finding that "Pez" brings up zero results.

Does anyone recall them? A plasic dispencer comprised of a rectangular tube, (cuboid if I recall my maths properly!) with a recognisable character's head on the top. You pulled the head back and a little flavoured chalky sweet was delivered.

Mine was a Jiminy Cricket and I was sooooooooooo pleased when I found this picture: >

EDIT: Ooo, I should have Googled first. It seems you can still buy them! I bet Jiminy Cricket is defunct though...

they have been mentioned on the forum and pictures posted, but the search wont allow less than four letter words, to much of a drag on the search engine
how ever if you try to search brick /shaped /sweets/ dispensers it may find some threads
