Re: Christmas When You Were Growing Up
It took me an hour to go round Morrisons more or less straight through at the checkouts no queuing.Lots of empty shelves staff were re stocking a few things I didn't get.No goose fat roast potatoes,no jelly shots,no wax cheeses,no Turkey gravy,no Turkey foil.Called in Home Bargains on the way back lots of empty shelves,no toiletries gift sets,no Turkey foil. You would swear that there is a food shortage,no sprouts in Asda on the Welsh news

A case of "I'm dreaming of a hot Christmas" methinks.

I used to attend a group at the Nottingham City Hospital in the mid 1980s, and I know (in recent years anyway) that the Father Christmas in the children's department was actually one of the doctors! To think that someone has studied several years in medicine at medical school to become Father Christmas at the end of the year makes you wonder!

Our eldest is at the age now where he has made a wish list for santa and is getting excited about it all. His face the other day when we took the boys for their santa photo was so cute, chatting away to santa you could see he was a little nervous/excited like you would be if you were talking to someone famous you admired. Bless him. It's time for me now to try and make my sons' xmasses as magical as my parents made mine when i was young.
Now i've got to work out if I want to share the Quality Street/Maltesers/After Eights/Licquorice Allsorts that I bought as those are sweets my mum always had/has at xmas.
