The Golden Hour Past, Present and Future and Our Tune: I am married with a two-year-old son. I was expecting our second baby this year. We both wanted a little girl but the baby inside me seemed more like Georgie Best. He kicked and moved all the time, hardly giving me a moment's peace. In April I gave birth to a boy. On his arrival I saw why I'd had trouble with him kicking: he had enormous legs and big feet. About this time a record came out which made me laugh and seemed appropriate: "Nice Legs Shame About the Face", This will always be 'Our Tune'.

Paul Gambaccini writes: 'Britain's most popular album of 1979 has been Parallel Lines by Blondie, a collection that has been in the LP chart every week of this year. Producer Mike Chapman has brilliantly mixed the energy of New Wave, the sex appeal of lead singer Deborah Harry and, in the case of the international No.1 "Heart of Glass", the infectiousness of disco. Four of the numbers have been hit singles in Britain and another has made it in the States. Parallel Lines is the quintessential pop L.P. of the late 70s.

Classic rock music, past and present. Introduced by Tommy Vance.
Including archive recordings of The Bonzo Dog (Doo Dah) Band.
The Bonzo success largely rested upon the varying individual talents in the band: Roger Ruskin Spear's thorough knowledge of the 20s style, Neil Innes's composing ability, Viv Stanshall's genuine comic flair, and upon their cult following. Through their hit single 'I'm the Urban Spaceman' they became more widely known, only to go their separate ways in 1970.
