    Soda Stream

Did anyone else's mum try to save money in the 80's by making their own pop, these came with gas canisters, and special little bottles. you'd make it up with awful pop flavoured syrup. IMO the pop never came out fizzy so it tasted flat and cheap!!

There was - but for the life of me I can't remember the Trade name !! It was a flat back lorry rather than a van though.

Just come to me !! Beer at home means Davenports !!

We used to get the Alpine pop man come round. Know what you mean about every flavour. Used to have the pineapple because we thought it exotic!
I'm sure at one time there used to be a van that used to come round that just sold beer.

in the 70's we had a mobile shop/grocers van...had steps at the back & you walked up into it.

There was also the Fish Man, Potato Man, Rag & Bone Man (still around)

    but my 2 favs.....

the sweet van (VW Camper Van..side door slid open, and an Aladdin's cave of sweets.....favs being Sherbet Fountain & Spangle (fizzy, NOT the Olde English ones!)

the pop man...sure it was Alpine pop...came in EVERY flavour under the sun
