Most people will associate Terry Hall for being a member of the Specials, and of course, the 1981 hit Ghost Town which was number one in the British charts during the Royal Wedding of the now King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. As a result, it is slightly ironic that Hall had passed away at the age of 63 in the same year that King Charles III actually had ascended to the throne.
Of course, he was not to be confused with Terry Hall of "Lenny the Lion" fame who died in 2007; someone who was a bit more familiar to me as a child, although someone online said that they both came from the same part of Great Britain.

Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
I remember a combo of Bananarama with Fun Boy Three, "It's ain't what you did it's the way that you did it". Hard to get that out of my head for a long time. Terry co-wrote a song with Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Gos which I think was also a bit of a hit for them; Our Lips Are Sealed. Favorite Special with Terry Hall vocal would have to be Concrete Jungle (live on the Dance Craze LP). They were if anything even better live than on record whereas Madness and The Beat were about the same. The Selecter also seem to have been amazing live. A lot of the politics was a bit over my head at that age but I'd say it was good education and food for thought. Definitely liked the anti-racism unity message!
Lenny The Lion is a little before my time I think, slightly more familiar with Larry the Lamb (but much keener on Shaun The Sheep).
