  • RIP Roberta Flack

Roberta of "Tonight I Celebrate My Love For you" a duet with Pebbo Bryson) and "Killing Me Softly With His song (or her) if it was a male singing has passed away aged 88

For me Roberta was one of the greatest Soul Singers of her time and represented 80s Music (though both these were 70s Hits) she represented the awesome side of 80s Music at it's ultimate best

Both these songs are so so beautiful I think and are really rerally real Love Songs in the extreme

    RIP Roberta Flack

In response to her demise, it does seem rather unfortunate that she did a song called Killing Me Softly. Still, she was a great music talent.

Great George!!? Roberta was truly amazing and one of the best - when people talk about the 1980s Music, and even 70s being rubbish this is what real top Music is or was

Sad news. She had a great style, and loved her duets with Donny Hathaway and Peabo Bryson particularly.

Indeed - I can only echo this

Roberta was very very petite and pretty too. Her face on the Video Peabo was so beautiful, so in line with what singing a great song should be

Whoever has sung "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" I have never rated the song to be honest, George

I dunno why but I think that is an over-rated Song regardless of who sings it
