  • RIP Roy Hattersley

At the start of a week where Andy Burnham could be given a chance to become a future Prime Minister if Labour (Co-operative) win in the Makerfield by-election on Thursday (the main solution to getting rid of Starmer from Downing Street), one of the party's former Deputy Leaders, Roy Hattersley has died at the age of 93. If John Prescott had an obituary on here, then so can one of his predecessors.

It made me think that most of the celebrities that Spitting Image portrayed in the 1980s as puppets have since passed away by now, being between 30 to over 40 years since they were first seen. Hattersley certainly put the spitting into Spitting Image for he showered his fellow party political colleagues every time he spoke on the show, and it's a wonder that his puppet didn't flood the House of Commons when he did so! They turned him from a politcian into a character. He was Member of Parliament for Birmingham Sparkbrook for nearly three decades.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
Working...
