Re: Teachers nicknames
A couple of teachers nicknames here:-
Porky (sometimes Porky Powell) Mr Powell, history and archaeology teacher, because of his size.
Rabbi Roberts. Mr Roberts, RE teacher.
Big Lew. Mr Lewis, science teacher, he was big.
Mad Evans. Mr Evans, science and maths teacher.
Doc. Mr Edwards, doctor of science. Brilliant teacher, one hell of a temper when he got going. He had a very short, and sometimes non-existent fuse.

Mrs Birch was ... well, I'm sure you can guess what the kids less fond of her called her
Mr Waterfall (sadly his real name) was Mr Niagara for obvious reasons
Dr Morrison was Moomin because of her resemblance to a certain race of fictional characters

Re: Teachers nicknames
A music teacher was nicknamed Pick A Flick due to flicking a pupil's ear if they misbehaved! Another was called Dartboard due to the various pock holes on his face. The Headmaster of my secondary school was called Batman though I can't for the life of me remember why..........perhaps he had a cape?

Re: Teachers nicknames
In middle school I had a math teacher named Mr Heald. We used to call him as Hildo the... (rhymes with a certain type of "marital aid"). And in high school there was a rather effeminate looking teacher named Mr Thomas whom we called "The Poodle." I had him for Civics class in my senior year and he was actually a pretty cool guy -- he was also a lawyer and on our last day of class he handed out his business card just in case we needed it.

Yes, I so know what you mean,
so well I remember that, and also trying to wriggle the plastic nozzle off the tap at home, only to finally do it while getting a face full of water when it pinged off the tap..
