I feel sorry for you mate, it must of been terrible. Iam glad the Teacher helped you, Teachers are not like that today as much (some probablya re, but only a small percent). They helped/wanted to help you because they cared for you not like Today, as in certain scenarios like you had.

Re: Worst (Funniest?) Thing I Did At School

Our school was a large one, over 1500 kids when I was there. In the mornings we had a 20 minute assembly in the main hall - few speeches from the headmaster and some hymns and such like. Once assembly was over the chairs would be stacked and lined up either side of the hall - about 30 chairs high (they sort of interlocked and stacked - you all know the sort I mean), so at either side of the hall there were 750+ chairs piled up in nice, close columns.

If it rained heavily at break times, all the kids were allowed into the hall to save a soaking. The 5th year kids (final year) all stood around the front and sat on the stage, 4th years a bit closer to the middle, new kids right at the back near the main doors. Lots of kids, lots of piled up chairs, lots of boredom.

I was a 5th year and so sitting on the stage, bored. I then noticed another kid form my year pushing around a much smaller kid. Being soft as a baby I said nothing, but eventually this poor kid was on the verge of tears so I told the kid from my year to leave him alone. He promptly told me to f-off so I pushed him. Hard.

So hard that he flew back into one of the stacks of chairs. So hard that he knocked the chairs over. So hard that the stack of chairs fell backwards into the stack behind it, which then fell into the stack behind that and so on, domino style. As they toppled and hit the floor they spread out and flew across the entire hall, like marbles out of a bag, scattering kids as the went.

Once the chaos had stopped, all that was left was a battlefield of chairs and a load of open mouthed kids. I was wide eyed and had one of those "Oh Sh*t" moments.

There was complete silence for a few seconds, then the deputy head, who had witnessed the event shouted "YOU BOY!"
I thought if I didn't turn around maybe I could just blend into the mayhem but no, I was busted, bang to rights.

    Cheers,
    Finnthedude.

Playing football one lunchtime (as always) and turned for a pass, stretching to reach, then riiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppppp trousers were torn from crotch to knee and boxers on show for all to see.
Had to walk about 500 yards across a playground to the home economics block to get them sewn back up...
How embarassing - stayed with me for a while that one..

i did have a zip mate but i was a bit heavy on the belly and that is why the button flew off and the zip did stay up well so my bit of weight pushed it down revealing what little i had.

We had to remember the Ten Commandments in a religious studies test, and the teacher, who was a right fire-and-brimstone nutter, said to one lad 'You've got them all wrong!'. To which the lad replied 'I've got them all right, but not necessarily in the right order!'. So the teacher picked this lad up by the lapels and said 'so you think you're Eric Morecambe do you?'. At this point we're all laughing as we think the teacher's just going to slap his cheeks or something. But all of a sudden he started shaking the poor lad violently, and threw him to the floor, knocking over the lad's chair. The whole class went silent. We never heard from this lad in class again.

Which was a shame, as earlier that year, when the English teacher was looking for props for a play he was putting on with us, he asked if any of us had a scarf for one of the characters to wear. The play was set in the 19th century, so the teacher was bemused when our friend put his hand up and said "I've got a Police scarf." The teacher (who was in his 50s at least) asked "what, that has black and white checks on?" To which the lad replied quick as a flash "No, a drawing of Sting and Stewart Copeland." This teacher didn't even understand what we were laughing at.

I wish I'd been that witty at eleven.
Thats both funny but also not nice. Some teachers are awful people. Theres part of me that thinks yep, its the culture of the time when teachers could act on such cheek from a kid and 'teach 'em a lesson there and then', short, sharp shock, no more messing about from you me laddo; but then I think it didn't deserve that sort of thing. We had a horrid French teacher who'd be really jovial and would end up with us mucking about as well but then he'd flip and go ape and even pull hair or shake someone. He'd even slate you with awful ranting over some problem you may have told him about-he didn't think when he was angry....He pulled my hair once having gotten in a rag over someone not understanding the 'nous' and 'tu' parts of 'etre' having got in a strop with me earlier in a lesson-bloody hurt as well. Then around the time I was being bullied he berated me so loudly in front of the WHOLE school library (which he ran also) at lunch time over having two library cards....He said 'AND DON'T COME SOBBING TO ME ABOUT BEING BULLIED-AND DON'T COME IN HERE AGAIN! GET OUT!'-He took my only safe place from lunchtime bullying for the rest of my time there...Years later I always felt like having a go at him for that and on one occasion I was in a foul mood, saw him at a bus stop and told him what I thought of him-he didn't get angry and bite back, oh no...showed he was a coward. I'm glad I said what I did. I won't repeat it here but it was extremely rude but men like that deserve it....
