I remember there was a specialist shop in Manchester that stocked laserdics, but very much for film buffs.
Ironically it was assumed in the early 1980s it would became a standard format for home releases because they were cheaper at the time to mass produce compared to video tape, but the cost of 2 machines put people off doing this.
